UT IDeA sponsored events:

Draw/Re-Draw
Part One: First Three Weeks of November, 2005

Draw/Re-Draw will be an experiment in two parts. Part one, "Draw," will consist of a series of seminars/ workshops, revolving around the activity of drawing, viewed from the perspective of varying disciplines. Each seminar/workshop will have a short discussion component followed by a "making" component, and will be lead by a differnt professot. Part two of the event, "Re-draw," will consist of small interdisciplinary teams who will use the results of part one ("Draw") as raw material for making a new work (for example, a team might take the figure drawings from a workshop to use as generative material to make an animated film). The results will then be exhibited in a gallery show which will document the workshops as well as the final artifacts.
